Age: 16 months
Weight: 23lbs 8oz at her 15 month appt.
Length: 31.5in.
Size: Size 4 diapers, 18m to size 24m shirts and 18 month pants. She is really thinning out! She is taller now but can still stand and make a little buddha belly.
Hair: Getting so long and thick! Each time people see her they comment on how much more hair she has now. Growing in nicely. I have cut her bangs 3 times already.
Teeth: 8 teeth now. 4 on top and 4 on bottom. Her right top molar is almost in.
Sleeping: Bedtime at 8:30pm. The past few nights she has been waking up again in the middle of the night. I attribute this to a stuffy nose, drainage which is making her cough. She threw up for the first time in the middle of the night (3-22) which was very scary. No fever but very snotty! She is consistently down to just one nap. She will wake up around 8 and go down around 10:30 or 11 and sleep until 1 or 1:30. On occasion she will take a second nap.
Eating: Still a very good eater. Every now and then she won't eat much at one meal but will make up for it at the next meal. When she has been stuffy she has not had a very good appetite. She is so cute now after she is done. She will stick out her hands for you one at a time for you to clean and then you ask for her face and she sticks her little face out so you can wash that too!
Movement: She is a climber! She climbs on her table, over the back of her chair and can now get up on the couch with no help. She was very mad at me for not helping her but we sang a big song when she did it all by herself! She likes to climb ladders and slides and just about everything at Gymboree!
Milestones: She jumped and got a little air! She is a dancing machine as well. She says a few words but not consistently. She will say Daddy and has said mom but I don't think on purpose yet. She says dog and kitty and lots of her own versions of words. I think my favorite is "what's that" which I am sure is what she is saying because we say it to her all the time when we are telling her what things are.
Favorite things: She loves the outdoors. It was funny when I was talking to a friend of mine who has a daughter 8 months older when she went through this stage too. She gets mad at me when we have to come back inside. Every time the dogs go out she wants to too. It was raining the other day and I made her come in and she yelled at me! Everything is pointing to the door to go out.
She really likes bath time too now. We spend probably the first 10 minutes just playing in the tub. She does not like rinsing her hair however. Water on the face is not a fav.
Disposition: Ella is such a happy and helpful little girl. I continue to just stare and smile at her each day and night. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. She is trying to talk more and more and says more sounds. She tries to make us laugh now. She will do silly things and try to get a reaction from us. The other night she was in hysterics and I could barely contain myself. It was almost too much. So blessed!
