Hide and Seek

We are having too much fun playing with Ella. James and I are like kids again. I can't even remember what we used to do before we had her. Life must have been not quite as exciting...seriously this is the best. So one of our new games with Ella is chasing her and playing hide and seek. Basically, James flies her down the hallway and then holds her at the end and asks her where I am. Then I peek around the corner and she goes nuts! She squeals and jumps and shakes in his arms as I run down the hall to catch her. We then of course jump on the bed and cover her in kisses and tickle attack her. Then at other times, James will run around with draped over his shoulder as I run and try to catch them. She adores this game and sometimes laughs with no sound with her mouth wide open :)

On Friday we both were home with her and got to take her to the park. We went to Broadripple Park and were able to swing, slide, walk around and take a stroller ride around the park. Ella wore her pink jellie shoes for the first time. I put them on her before we left and she sat and pondered over them. At first she would not stand up in them or crawl. After a few minutes of her inspecting them she started to crawl and pull up to stand. Once we were at the park she was walking around only holding on with one hand. She looked so funny with her little pink shoes on walking as fast as she could. She really directs you where she wants to go! Half way through our stroller ride she was asleep again. It was such a nice time just the three of us.

Later today we went on a walk with the dogs. It was a picture of perfection in my mind. Taking a nice leisurely stroll with my husband, daughter and two dogs. When we got back to our house Ella went swinging and James did underdogs with her. She went so high her feet touched the branches of the tree. She of course loved it, my little daredevil. James was also throwing the frisbee to Jersee and Ella is so funny because she turns around in her swing so she can see her catch the frisbee and then she laughs!
