Just as we had finally gotten to the pool with Nikki and Ethan, sweated off ten pounds changing in the locker rooms, got all suntan lotioned up, the lifeguards blew the whistle for adult swim. Now what I am used to from when I was little was adults could get in but babies were fine too. Apparently not here! Ella and I went to the zero entry and were playing with the water spouting out of the side. We were barely even in the water, there was maybe a centimeter of water under my behind! The lifeguard blew his whistle at us. The first time, I looked up and didn't see him looking at us so we continued to play with the water spout. Ella was trying to grab the water and then got on her hands and knees and tried to catch the water in her mouth! It was too cute, but apparently the lifeguard continued to blow his whistle at us but I didn't pay any attention. We were so hot from the humidity and changing that we HAD to cool off. About 5 minutes later we went back to the chairs and they blew the whistles again to let the kids back in the pool. About another 5 minutes it started to sprinkle. Then we heard the inevitable roar of thunder which brought on the down pour. We got more wet from the rain then the pool. They said no refunds so barely an hour at the pool and only our toes wet we were out of the there. It is not very easy to get a 7 month old in a carseat when she is soaking wet. She was mad at me! She quickly calmed down once we started moving. We then went to Nikki's house to play for a little while since our pool trip was a bust. Once we were there Ella was in love with their little dog Maggie. They were about eye level so Maggie didn't know quite what to think. She covered Ella in kisses and Ella smiled and giggled with amusement.
Once we were finally home she crashed in her crib tired after a long day and no afternoon nap.
She has now been asleep for 2 hours and it is 30 minutes til her bedtime. We will see how long this lasts!
Her 6 month pictures are my fav so far...
