Ella is too much of a big girl. More brave than me or other adults we celebrated the holiday weekend with. On July 3, we went to a family friends house for food, swimming and some pretty good home fireworks. These fireworks were no pop rocks or sparklers, these were the ones that could blow your fingers off. Needless to say, when the first one went off, without any warning, I jumped a good inch off the ground, one of our friends dumped her drink down her white shirt, and Ella just turned and looked, not even a flinch. She definitely was enjoying her oreo cake though!
The next night I was sure she would be just fine with the big fireworks her Daddy, Mac and GUS were shooting off at the country club. These were the big ones, the ones you feel rumble in your chest and through your bones. We invited Leon, Heather and Chad too! Leon was a little scared of them at first, but after a quick break in the car he was back again enjoying the "Boom" as he called it. Ella was my brave little toaster and again was more concerned that she got to sit with everyone and show them the show. Here are a few pics from the night together.
